What is Finch?

Finch offers a leading unified API to help HR and benefits applications integrate with employment systems of record like isolved. This connectivity helps employers get more value out of their applications with data that’s always up to date. Finch simplifies and standardizes integrations — making them more accessible so applications can get secure, permissioned access to the data they need. With the support of industry partners and investors, their vision is to create a more connected and programmable employment ecosystem for all.

What is the benefit of using Finch?

Customers utilize various HR and benefits applications requiring access to their system of record. Finch helps these third-party applications more easily integrate with isolved technologies. This enables your customers to get more value from the applications they rely on to run their business while reducing administrative work — keeping you as the source of truth for employee information.

How does the app work?

  1. An employer grants access to a specific set of data requested by a 3rd party application through Finch Connect.
  2. Once connected, Finch can retrieve data from isolved via API.
  3. The permissioned, 3rd party application can then make API requests to Finch on the employer’s behalf.
  4. Every 24 hours, Finch requests new data from the provider and makes it available to the application via API.
