What is LegalShield?

For an affordable monthly rate, LegalShield provides direct access to a dedicated law firm who can review and prepare legal documents such as Wills and assist with other personal legal matters such as speeding tickets, neighbor disputes and family related matters such as adoption. LegalShield is one of the oldest legal plans and has built and successfully maintains the only propriety nationwide network of provider law firms.

LegalShield provider lawyers are paid on a per-capita basis and 100% of matters are covered in-network. LegalShield Provider Lawyers are also held to high service standards and will provide a call back within four business hours and prepare a will in five business days.

The following items are not included in the legal services plan: any matter or dispute between any Covered Person and PPLSI, a Provider Law Firm, or the Employer; any matter covered by any insurance policy or other legal service plan; employment; patent, trademark, or copyright matters; any matters related to Native or First American tribes or tribal governments; requested service that lacks merit, is frivolous or would violate any ethical rule or law; services outside the 50 states of the United States; business or commercial matters; fines, court costs, filing fees, ad litem fees, penalties, expert witness fees, bonds, bail bonds and any out-of-pocket expense.}
