How does the app work?

Payactiv integrates securely with isolved via APIs to enable real-time data exchange across four key areas: Census, Time & Attendance, Deductions, and Deduction Reconciliation.
How it works:
- Integration begins with secure authentication using OAuth 2.0. Payactiv makes a POST request to the isolved API authorization server with the OAuth Client ID and Secret (via Basic Authentication) to obtain an access token. This token is used for all subsequent API calls, ensuring secure communication.
- After authentication, Payactiv uses the List of Clients & Legals endpoint to identify all clients linked to the credentials. This is essential in multi-client environments, ensuring data is accessed only for the intended employer.
- Note: The demo (pre-production) environment includes two test clients for integration validation.
- This structured, secure integration supports scalable, compliant data sharing—streamlining payroll processes and delivering Payactiv benefits with minimal lift.
Data Feeds Overview:
Census Feed: Retrieves employee demographic and employment details (e.g., employee ID, name, status, pay rate, work location) to build user profiles in Payactiv.
Time & Attendance Feed: Captures worked hours to calculate earned wage availability.
Deduction Feed: Payactiv submits deduction details (amount, code, pay period) via POST API calls for processing during payroll.
Deduction Reconciliation Feed: Confirms applied deductions post-payroll, including employee ID, name, deduction amount, and code.
1 Earned Wage Access requires employer participation. Employees can only access a portion of the wages they have earned to date.
2 To qualify, you must have one (1) successful direct deposit of $200 or more to the Payactiv Visa Card per pay period. If this qualification isn’t met, then a load fee of $2.49 will be charged.
3 Goal-based saving is a set-aside account, and you will not receive interest or other earnings on funds in your goal-based account.
